To accommodate the growing student population, this bond proposal includes funding for a new comprehensive high school (HS #4), a new middle school (MS #8), four new elementary schools, two replacement campuses (Justin ES and Prairie View ES), and four early childhood centers.

The location for ES #26 will be determined based on growth at the time when enrollment nears capacity at the district’s 25 elementary schools.

Four early childhood learning centers would be built across Northwest ISD, one in each geographic area of the district. To best use resources, the existing sites of Justin and Prairie View elementary schools would be used for two of these sites. The district owns land near Cox Elementary School, and if that site is determined to be appropriate for an early childhood center, it could possibly be used, and a fourth location will be determined in the southern portion of the district. These facilities would also provide staff daycare to attract high-quality educators to Northwest ISD.
