Student Enrollment Continues to Climb

ENROLLMENT HISTORY

As the fastest-growing school district in DFW, and one of the fastest growing in the state, Northwest ISD has enrolled 15,000 new students since 2010, and has increased enrollment 25 percent between 2017 and 2022. The student enrollment climbed 8.7 percent from 2020-2021 to 2021-2022 and residential developments indicate that NISD will continue to be a fast-growth school district for many years to come.

enrollment Projections

While it is impossible to predict exactly how many new students will move into NISD each year, the district partners with a demographer to review housing trends and enrollment projections to plan for growth and staffing needs. Demographers report that NISD can expect to enroll thousands of new students in the next several years, and the 2023 bond proposal is designed to accommodate 8,400 more students.
